Vision

One of the most frequent reasons for rejection of a prosthesis by upper-limb amputees is the weight. This leads to nearly half of amputees preferring not to use an arm prosthesis at all.
At SARA, we see a future where no distinction between a prosthesis and a natural arm has to be made. By developing a Soft Actuated Robotic Arm, we aim to pave the path towards a next generation of lightweight, agile and silent prosthetics.
